Teaching Practice 2
English Teaching Experience 3 corresponds to the third course of the Disciplinary-Professional Area of the English Language Teaching curriculum. This is an instance for the student to observe and reflect about how English as a foreign language is taught in the Chilean educational context.
This course aims at developing students’ observation and reflective skills based on the problematization of real English teaching and learning situations. Additionally, students are expected to design and implement contextualized intervention proposals, in the light of their experience as an English language learner, their knowledge of the language, its pedagogy and didactics. Consequently, this course is designed to enhance the articulation between the different curricular areas of the English Language Teaching degree, so that students’ reflective processes and decisions could be taken on the light of an integrated approach.
