"Last Chance"
by Phillip Burrows and Mark Foster
I think the book clearly exposes how some people are forced sometimes to go against their principles because they need to stay in their jobs or getting material things. Mike takes a hard decision that marks his life and might mean that he loses his job. However, he does not regret and I feel that if more people were like him, we would be raised in a different world. It is important to say that he got surprised when she appears as a new worker and he says 'She hits me...right here!' meaning his heart.

I liked this story because this is a situation that many women live nowadys. Sadly, there are several women, and sometimes men, who are forced by their partners to do things they do not want to, and sometimes this might turn into violence.
"Tom Sawyer"
by Mark Twain

During the reading, I found myself nervous and completely interested since I wanted to know what would happen to the boys and because the killer was free. However, when the story was over, I started thinking about how dangerous his adventures were and how Tom's family was unaware of them.
Tom was with no supervision the whole day and that allowed him to do whatever he wanted, even completely dangerous things.
