Course Description
This course aims to start developing the students’ communicative competence to understand and produce oral and written texts in concrete and abstract situations and topics at an upper intermediate level and from an integrated approach that combines language skills and systems, considering students’ learning styles and the use of technological resources. The course is characterized by the systematic link between the English language, literature, culture and the development of the sociolinguistic and pragmatic competences in the personal, public, occupational and educational domains. It uses task and content based instruction and strategic learning as key course methodologies. This course aims to introduce the students into the B2 level known as ‘Vantage’ from the Common European Framework.
